Tuesday: Shrimp & linguine with pea pesto
Wednesday: Mushroom and polenta; Brussel Sprouts

Thursday: Butter chicken & Dal


5 recipes of shepherd's pie (us, Megan O, Bender, Gazetta, Sam), though blend carrots and potatoes for top, use half beef


Ingredients


any kind of veggies you want – carrots, tomatoes, pumpkin – cut into BIG chunks (for daal)
Brussel sprouts for 5 people
3 1/3 pound russet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
3 1/3 pound + 5 carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
3 1/3 pound parsnips, peeled and cut into chunks 
4 portobello mushrooms, stemmed
1 bunch lacinato (Tuscan) kale, stemmed and coarsely chopped
2 medium-size tomatoes, diced
10 large onion, peeled and chopped
5 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
3 tablespoons fresh ginger, peeled and grated or finely diced

2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
5 teaspoon chopped fresh or dry rosemary
5 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley
½ bunch cilantro leaves, stems removed.

6.5 cup frozen peas
 
2.5 pound ground lamb 
3.5 pound ground beef
Shrimp for 5 people
3 pounds chicken thighs, on the bone

9 teaspoons neutral oil, like vegetable or canola oil
½ c. extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
26 cup beef or chicken broth
6 tablespoon tomato paste
1 cup grits
3 tablespoons ground almonds, or finely chopped almonds
2 tablespoons pine nuts, toasted and cooled
12 ounces dried linguine
1 cup of red lentils

1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
2 teaspoons herbes de Provence
1 ½ tablespoons ground turmeric
2 tablespoons garam masala
3 tablespoons ground cumin
1 cinnamon stick
I tsp (level or heaped, depending on how spicy you like things) of the following:
·         chilli powder (or 2 fresh chillies cut in half)
·         ginger powder (again, fresh here is always best!)
·         cumin powder
·         tumeric (fresh tumeric is amazing! You can use it for heaps of other very cool things too like colds and flus, breathing difficulties and digestive stuff. It’s been shown in several studies now to have a very good effect on many kinds of cancer – particularly prostrate and inflammatory bowel disease.)

38 tablespoons (1# + 5 tbsp) unsalted butter
5 cups milk  
1 ½ cups cream
1 cup (2.25 oz) grated Pecorino cheese, plus more for garnish
1/4 cup crumbled Gorgonzola
1 ½ cups full-fat Greek yogurt
